For students in grades 1 – 5 at Pinewood Elementary.

The Summer Art Program will feature art experiences in painting, drawing, sculpture and clay with Ron Brigerman and Andrea Scott. All materials are included in the cost of the class. Cost: $75

BRUSH UP CAMP! August 9-13 and August 16-20
Brush Up Camp helps students prepare for school by reviewing math and written
language skills. Confidence will soar and self esteem will grow at Brush Up Camp.

Algebra Camp reviews those concepts necessary for success in Algebra I.
Fraction and decimal operations, integer operations, solving equations,
evaluating expressions, and coordinate graphing will be discussed.

CAMP S.M.A.R.T.
Summer Reading and Math Teams. Now in its 5th year!

Camp SMART - Reading 9:00-11:45
July 18-22, 2011
For students currently in kindergarten - 3rd grade

Camp S.M.A.R.T.-Reading will help students prepare for school by reviewing phonics, comprehension, fluency, and written language skills through the use of hands-on, multisensory activities .

Camp S.M.A.R.T.- Math 9:00-11:45
July 25-29, 2011
For students currently in kindergarten - 3rd grade

Camp S.M.A.R.T.-Math will help students prepare for school by reviewing addition, and subtraction concepts with and without regrouping, money, measurement and some geometry.

Registration fee: $125 per sessionRegister
for both sessions and save $25. Both sessions-$225

All sessions will be held in Lutherville Lab’s air conditioned learning cottages. Come and enjoy working with Lutherville teachers this summer!

CHESS CAMP
For boys and girls: Age 8 (entering 3rd)-Age 16 For beginning and experienced players 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Mon.-Fri. at Cockeysville Middle School Activity Room.
(Enter from parking lot entrance.)

Session 1: July 11 – 15
Session 2: July 18 – 22
Session 3: July 25 – 29

Make your move and capture some fun this summer with chess! This camp is designed to teach and improve your game of chess with a strong foundation of the game's fundamentals. Instruction includes various checkmates, draws and stalemates, tactics, the end game, and opening development of pieces. Camp instructors include Senior Master William “The Exterminator” Morrison, Arkadiy Frenkel, and Cockeysville Middle School Chess coach, Glenn Segal.

Registration Donation: $185 for 1 wk. $ 350 for 2 wks. $515 for 3 wks.

LUTHERVILLE LAB'S SPORTS & FITNESS CAMP
Get moving and have some fun this summer with Lutherville Lab’s Sports & Fitness Camp! This camp is designed to teach and improve fitness skills and principles, sport skills, and provide an opportunity to enjoy recreational activities. Mr. Bruns, Lutherville’s PE teacher will be hosting three summer camps in July.

Session 1:
July 5-8; 9am-11:45 am for students entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades

Session 2:
July 11-15; 9am-11:45 am for students entering the 1st, 2nd ,and 3rd grades

Session 3:
July 18-22; 9 am-11:45 amfor students entering the 4th, 5th and 6th grades

All sessions are held at Lutherville Lab Elementary School
1700 York Rd. Lutherville, MD 21093

• Class size will be limited to 30 students
• Daily snack & drinks will be provided
• All participants will receive a Lutherville Lab Sports & Fitness Camp T-shirt

SUMMER TIME FUN DROP-IN PROGRAM
Lutherville Timonium Recreation Council is offering a Summer Time Fun Drop In Program. Activities include: Martial Arts activities, arts & crafts, special demonstrations, various recreation activities, & supervised play.

WHO: Boys & Girls who have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade

WHEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays
for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade

Starting June 28th and ending July 28th from 9:00 am- 11:30am

LOCATION: Lutherville Lab Elementary

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:  Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. We will need a minimum of 20 children to run the program and have a limit of 50 participants.

Registration will take place via e-mail beginning at 10:00 A.M. on 5/18/11.
When registration opens, please e-mail the following information to office@ltrc.org. No one will be permitted to register early.
